Where does the egg go if fallopian tubes are blocked?

If the fallopian tubes are blocked, the egg cannot reach the site of fertilization. If one tube is blocked, the egg might be trapped in the ovary, or if the opposite tube is clear, the egg may try to pass through that tube, but fertilization is still difficult.
