I recently went through a Lap Myomectomy at the hands of Dr. Amita Shah. The surgery was complex because the fibroid was very large. The surgery lasted for 5+ hours and after a week of this, I am sitting at home healthy and well-recovered, feeling grateful that I chose Dr. Amita Shah over anyone else. This could have been an open surgery (not Lap) if it was done by anyone else. It was her sheer expertise and experience because of which she could do this laparoscopically. I was having a large uterine fibroid. Got recommendations for Dr. Amita from a friend and i came all the way to Delhi to meet her and understand the process of operation.Although the laparoscopy could not be completely done on my body due to very lager size of fibroid and laparotomy was done but i did not have blood loss which i believe is a skill of a doctor. Coz other gynaecologists told me there would be a lot of blood loss. And the incision was also small which I didn’t believe was possible.I am beyond thankful to Dr. Amita for taking my case and removing the fibroid in the best possible way from my body. Dr. Amita Shah performed a remarkable myomectomy fibroid surgery, and we couldn’t be more grateful for her expertise and care.For the first time my wife did surgery from other doctors in October 2023. However after 2 Months we started family planning as per doctor advice. But in vain as the USG report says again that my wife still have fibroids.
